Pre-University (Foundation)
The Deakin College Foundation Year is equivalent to upper secondary school (Year 12) and university foundation Year. It aims to prepare you for further study in a Deakin College diploma or for entry into the first year of a selected Deakin University bachelor degree.
Communication and Arts
The Diploma of Communication offers a wide range of unit choices leading to the second year of the relevant Deakin University degree. Areas of study include advertising, communications, journalism, digital media and public relations.
Business and Commerce
The Diploma of Commerce provides the foundation for further study in areas such as accounting, business law, economics, finance, international business, marketing and management.
Design
The Diploma of Design offers a wide range of unit choices leading to the second year of the Bachelor of Design at Deakin University.
Information Technology
The Diploma of Information Technology provides a broad introduction to computing. Afterwards you can progress to a more specialised area during your degree such as computer science, cyber security, application development, cloud computing, creative technologies, game development and virtual and augmented reality.
